Designed for school students, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience scientific research through practical laboratory activities. Participants will explore DNA analysis, protein bioinformatics, immunoassays, enzyme activity, molecular interactions and other techniques used in modern biotechnology. The afternoon programme features a lecture by Dr Gytis Dudas on genomic investigations of infectious disease outbreaks, followed by an introduction to the Vilnius University Life Sciences Center and its study programmes by Dr Ingrida Prigodina-Lukošienė. The event aims to inspire young people to discover the fascinating world of life sciences and explore future opportunities in biotechnology.
